Clonezilla replacement
I have been using Clonezilla for years now. But I just upgraded to AMD CPU and mommy. I can't get the latest one to boot. I did download the latest AMD64 iso image. I get the disclaimer prompt then it freezes.

So, I am looking for a replacement. Suggestions?

Try adding "edd = off" into boot parameters, try using "basic vga", try using i686 image...
The fact that it does not boot basically means something is buggy, which is not surprising TBH.

For replacement you can either used paid tools like acronis, or you can try using basic tools clonezilla uses in any linux live cd manually. Not aware of any decent FOSS alternative to clonezilla...

Will that one boot off a CD or USB? Or do you have to install it on the disk you want to clone?

The free version installs to disk, have to pay for bootable USB.

I am sorry. I hang my head in shame and humbly apologize to Mr and Mrs Zilla :(

CloneZilla still woks fine. The BluRay drive is bad or not supported for UEFI boot with the new mommy board. I made a bootable USB and that works. The BluRay drive shows up in the boot menu as only a normal CD, not a UEFI CD.

Why u need a bootable iso? Just boot into your os amd clone from inside the os. Or use a bootable linux livecd iso and boot into that and then clone.
