RTX 2080 SUPER OR WAIT

I am ready to purchase a new card currently running a EVGA superclocked 1080 looking at getting a RTX 2080 Super.

Question is should i..... or should i wait for next gen ? what do you guys think the increase will be ? and with a budget of around 700 would the new card cost more ?

Also if i go with the 2080 Super now any recommendations ?

Only reason i am looking at buying now rather than waiting is my Cuz wants to buy my current card at a friendly discounted rate, also anyone know what date they are due to drop ?

1080 is fine, you don't need a 2080S.

3000 series is supposed to come out within the next few months, just wait, the 3080 will probably be closer to a 2080 Ti but for the cost of a 2080S.

i wouldnt buy a 2080 super...you wont have such impressive more grafix power. wait and enjoy the newer 3000 series.

If you waited this long. Might as well wait for the 3000 series. Or pick up a RTX 2070 SUPER for around 500.

You should wait for 3000s. Rtx power will be much higher then 2000 series. 2000 series are way to bad when it comes to rtx

Looks like the definitive answer is to wait, i will do so hopefully the new cards are not to far away.

If going to buy evga I suggest the newer 3 fanned model or a hybrid

Just know rtx 3xxx series is due out around May/June 2020

Thanks, i was looking at maybe getting an Asus Rog Strix this time, defo geting a 3 fan one though i have my current setup stuffed inside a Corsair Air 240 box so it gets pretty hot fast lol, but i have loads of fans and it seems to keep the airflowing nicely enough but i think 3 fan card would be better
