GTX 1650 Super 4GB or RX 580 OC 8GB
Planning to change my card in the end of week, here's are the option :

- MSI RX 580 Armor OC 8GB DDR5
- MSI GTX 1650 Super Gaming X 4GB DDR6

in my country the RX is more cheaper around $20 despite has 8GB Vram, saw comparison several in youtube and ofcourse the RX is more superior than GTX. But the GTX has DDR6 (I think is for future proofing) despite only 4GB Vram, and both are "playable" in almost every newer game.

So I need second opinions which card should i take? and why?

Does both card will still good in 2 or 3 years upcoming game?

my curently build was :
- Ryzen 5 2600
- 2x8 DDR4 3200
- M2 NVME 256GB
- VS 550 (planning to change on CX 650)
- GTX 750 Ti 2GB
- 1080p screen

anyhow they are the same. i would choose the nvidia card: less power consumption...afaik.

1650 Super is better in power consumption, and doesn't need external power connection. The RX 580 uses more power than a GTX 1080, while the 1650 Super can run off of the PCI-e slot power.

Performance in games is basically the same.

i am sorry...this isnt true. the power consumption of 1650 super is 100 watts. they have a 6-pin voltage adapter plug. the 1650, not all of them, have no extra plug for voltage. the 1650 needs 75 watt, so they need no extra voltage, because the pci-e slot delivers enough current. you can read this on the web

1650s is a 100w gpu, it will need a 6/6+2pin pci-e power connector
1650 is 75w and most dont need a pci-e power connector

when i look at

https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1650-SUPER-GAMING-X

it says

"The much anticipated return of MSI’s iconic dual fan GAMING series. This masterpiece provides you premium design with magnificent and smooth RGB light effects on the outside. The new MSI GAMING card is designed to amaze you!"

hope store can confirm this, i'd really thinking of building rgb rig because i never taste the feeling

lol

4GB vram for 1080p is fine but if you are thinking down the line then get the 8gb or for your games with higher texture quality which will be the biggest factor.
Performancewise the 1650 will be better FPS and if you don't care about high textures settings etc its a good choice too also the gaming x cooler is very good.
