does TITAN RTX have gaming drivers/is it optimized for gaming?
Is it as simple to setup as RTX 2080 Ti for gaming? The extra money the card cost doesn't bother me so price isn't a thing, just want to know if this card is good for gaming.

Titan RTX runs slightly slower than RTX 2080 Ti. Hence, go with RTX 2080 Ti. It's slightly cheaper but faster than Titan RTX.

all tests/benchmarks online show it runs faster, and has over double the VRAM as well, where are you seeing it's slower?

VRAM quantity doesn't mean anything for games. 11GB is more than enough for everything I've seen.

You could buy 2 2080Ti's for the price of a Titan RTX and have way more performance.
The Titan is only slightly faster than the 2080ti, not worth double the price (for gaming.)

Also didn't you say you already had one in the Specs megathread?

It makes no sense to buy a Titan RTX for gaming because the performance is extremely similar in games, with the 2080 Ti more often pulling better performance in that workload type -- however the 2080 Ti costs considerably less, so you would get better price/performance out of 2 2080 Ti in SLI than you would by spending that kind of money on a single Titan RTX.

More VRAM doesn't equate to performance itself, all it means is that the card can handle more things at the same time, but 11GB as it stands is WAY overkill unless you're running at 4K resolution.

Titan RTX is a card best suited for creators, not gamers. If you aren't a content creator, don't buy it. There is zero sense for someone who is only gaming to buy something that performs the same as a single 2080 Ti but costs as much as two.

I did, and I do, but I haven't set it up for gaming yet, still using my laptop for stuff.

Also I heard SLI causes framelag and crashes/not optimized at all in games so best single card performance is optimal?

I am a content creator, but not a game developer or anything like that... The VRAM is a bonus because it does help in my workload for modeling, if there's /any/ performance gain over 2080 ti for single card performance then it's worth it to me to set it up for gaming.

But the 2080 Ti is still good for content creation, you don't actually need the Titan. RTX cards in general are much better for work than GTX.

What is the kind of content creator are you? AutoCAD? Photo editor? Video editor? Animation?

Autodesk Maya/3ds MAX/Blender character modeling for making mods for games and such. Also photo/video editing/rendering.

Its not a gaming card BUT it can be used as one in most cases as has been shown

Just look up the reviews on Youtube and other places and decide for yourself

I'm afraid there is no difference gain for between an RTX 2080 and an RTX Titan. Also, dual RTX is not an SLI, it is called NVLink (a high-speed bridge). I would've recommended Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 or 5000, but if you want to do gaming with high graphic demand then RTX 2080 Ti is a good choice for you. I have AutoDesk too, no matter how good is my gaming graphic card is, it is still lag.

Using NVLink to scale performance and memory capacity requires application-specific support. (that comes directly from NVIDIA), so same issue as SLI and I don't want to have less performance in some programs than others, etc... TL;DR the best single-performance card I can get is ideal... I don't need a Quadro for the work I do so TITAN RTX was enough... If it converts to a gaming performance more than 2080 Ti with proper drivers then I don't need to buy another card just for gaming, that'd also be nice.

its the rtx titan gpu thats not optimized for gaming, its not the drivers fault

titan/quadro are better at other tasks than the gtx series, but not games

its always been like that for the titan/quadro cards

its more like buying a supercar and using it to plow a field
or a farm tractor and putting it on the racetrack
pick the more appropriate one for the job, dont go by price of the tool

It's called 'NVLink', but it's still just SLI.
No extra bells and whistles intop of it, just a different connector.

The problem is that they're basically the same, but there's no guarantee that the drivers will be good on the gaming side at all times, and you're paying as much as you would for 2 2080 Ti's for a single Titan RTX.

I really don't think it's worth it unless you can quickly make back the hefty cost of the Titan from what you plan on doing with it.
