The hell’s wrong with adrenaline 2020
The moment I updated to Adrenaline 2020, my laptop is acting up. Application will freeze, sometime it won’t open. Game like Witcher 3 freezes. AMD software app rarely opens. They mess up my overclock, and now it doesn’t work on most game I played. Right after I open steam, my overclock is set back to regular value. Even on my MSI Afterburner said I’m on the overclock, the on screen display said I’m running on stock speeds. What the hell is going on with adrenaline 2020? Literally every driver I used are unstable as hell.

I don't experience any issues on 20.1.3.
I use Wattman to overclock a RX 5700. Also no issues.

But I don't have any experience with notebooks. You might be better off with the drivers you get from the notebook's manufacturer site.

AMD[www.amd.com] recommends OEM-provided drivers.

I’m just gonna use DDU and rollback to 2019 adrenaline and wait for the optimized driver.

Haven't had any problems with Adrenaline 2020. Tried the beta driver when I was playing The Outer Worlds, and it played fine, but the beta messed up VCE acceleration in Vegas, so went back to 20.1.3.

I've too have experienced this. Sometimes the overclock loads correctly and sometimes it doesn't. There is something going on with the software not setting the correct voltage. I generally have better luck if I test in one of the unigine benchmarks and then save the configuration if it loads as it should.

So I’m not the only person.

I’ll rollback to the latest 2019 recommended. It’s much more stable on that drive
