I think the better comparison is against the 2060 KO.
Similar price, but you don't have to upgrade the VBIOS on the NVidia card.
Honestly i'd avoid it for this reason alone.
Then there is whole navi driver mess...
At least if you specifically want AMD get 5700 (just beware of broken drivers), otherwise some version of 2060 IMO is a better option.
i'd probably just go to a 5700/5700xt but your choice.

Beats messing with AMD driver problems and the overall opinion of people on 5600 XT is not exactly been positive.
I've seen negative things in that regard of black screens and driver updates being needed to fix it which can be a bit of a murky world :s
And to be totally honest I've began thinking of going with the 590 OC. A bit cheaper and certainly a bit of dropoff in power but it seems to be respectable for its price point
Performance... for 1080p 60fps it is fine. Anything higher than that and it will start to be limiting for newer games.
And IMO card itslef is still a good choice if you can find it cheap enough and do not want to pay more to get to ~2060 super level...
