Is it possible to fix the bended pins on CPU socket on my motherboard?

Please help. two service shops said it's unsalvageable.
I would like an opinion from someone who has the experience.

Might be fixable. But it will be time consuming and any mistake will make it worse.

Get some small tweezers, needles and a magnifying glass. Then start bending the pins back.

Just be careful and do it slow, as bending them back and forth fast can break them.

If you take a credit card and slide it (the non-magnetized edge) between the rows of pins to align them, maybe.

These pins are small. very small. The credit card will flatten several rows of these pins.

With larger pins, I've used the credit card method, and I also had the displeasure of cleaning the pins after a clumsy fool made the elementary mistake of treating thermal compound like cake icing instead of the single dot in the middle and it gooshed over the side..

if cpu pins are bent, credit card or knife can straighten them

but the pins on the mobo are not straight to begin with
its very difficult to fix them if they are bent

with a very sharp tweezer or pick they can be fixed, but the pins are designed to flex when they contact the cpu pads, if they contact each other or the wrong pads it can cause bigger problems

I'm surprised clumsy Linus didn't drop it 1000x.

I normally just buy a new one and send the old one back.
