Cursor moving by itself in Paint window only.
Just a few minutes ago when I closed out a game I toggled back in to Paint and the cursor was moving by itself in the Paint window only. It kept going straight to the top. I toggled out of the window and it was fine. This happen to anyone before? I don't think it's a virus or anything like that because I just scanned my rig a few days ago and I haven't done much on it since. I was curious basically if anyone else had this issue before or knew what causes it. Thanks in advance.:steamhappy:

It means there is an issue with your Mouse having issues, a Bad Mouse Driver,
a Low Battery Issue, STEAM causing it, Windows Causing it, Something could
also be Running like a scan, or background task, or even an Update of some kind ...

But that does not mean that it's not a Bug or something... Try ruling out one of these
issues... Before replying back?

do you have a controller plugged in?

steam -> settings -> controller -> [desktop] -> unbind joysticks from mouse

Sorry for the delayed reply mates. Been testing things on the PC to see if I got the issue anyplace else besides that. So far it only seems to happen when I toggle into the Windows default pain program and stays with in the image window itself. I have a usb mouse that is wired and granted it is pretty old, but I don't seem to have any issues any where else. I game with it just fine and everything. I did another scan just to be sure and I am clean. I don't really do much on this PC when I am booted in to Windows 10 other then watch Netflix and play games that require anti-cheat software mainly.

I can't test it in Windows 7 currently to see if it's hardware related because I disabled that drive to work on a registry problem so I boot in to it separately from the other drive for the time being. The reason for that is because my Windows 10 is an upgrade from that OS and I can't have both active until I am able to change the UUID for it so the two won't conflict, but I have Ubuntu 18.04 LTS installed on the same drive with the upgraded Windows 10 and when I am booted in to it I don't have any issues there either so far that I have noticed.

I tried to Google the issue, but pin pointing my exact problem is so far like finding a needle in a haystack basically. lol I have a desktop so it's not a battery issue and it sometimes even happens when I am not even in a game loaded from Steam. Best I can tell I have no upgrades running and so far nothing extra I can see in task manager running in the background.

I was wondering if it was a bug or something with Windows 10 and just that particular peace of software or if maybe I hit a hotkey I am not aware of by mistake that is causing it. Maybe I need to do like Hugsie said and call an exorcist for it. Lmao!!!!:steammocking:

Thanks for the help and replies mates. I appreciate it.:steamhappy:

Check for a sticking arrow up or No8 key on keypad.
