Water cooling dye colors
I am new to water cooling I recently bought a C360 kit. The kit comes with Thermaltakes T1000 pure clear coolant. I looked on multiple websites and found they have dye sets for the T1000 liquid. I am specifically trying to make a light transparent pink color for my system. I found other off brands and some other name brands that have a pink dyes. But I don't know how compatible it is with this fluid.

1) How am I able to create a nice transparent pink color with the dyes they offer on the Thermaltake website? (just the colors to mix. I don't want to by the 9 dye set and multiple coolants to test out on)

2) If I were to buy another brand dye, is it compatible with the T1000 fluid? if not how do i tell? (what to look out for)

Is there a large difference though? Lets say i use the T1000 coolant and an off brand dye. Is distilled water and an additive dye easier and or less complicated? Because i already own the T1000 coolant.
You can mix the coolant and dye, you will be fine. Distilled water and utopia you need to mix a batch of it, as opposed to just filling the loop up with T1000 ( I don’t think that’s a concentrated mix, could be wrong) and adding some dye drops

To get transparent pink you'd want to mix tiny amounts of the red with a simple clear fluid until you get the desired color. Preferably of the same brand, as different liquids from different manufacturers could potentially cause issues, the least of which being corrosion inside the loop.

Corission with different dyes are less an an issue but the clogging.

Well you should get quality dyes and they come in all colors. Problem is, that the low quality dyes clog very fast and leave a nasty residue which requires constant and painful cleaning.
Also with clear tubes, you need another a silver spring or an antibiocide added in to prevent algae buildup.

There are no special fluids for special loops. It's all the same, distilled water with add-ins like mentioned above.
If you replace a fluid, always replace it completely.

It's best to avoid any dyes if you can. You'll thank yourself later for not doing it.

I understand there are problems with certain coolants and systems. I'm going to be dyeing the coolant but is there a difference of premixed dyed fluid and added dyes?

Okay thanks, i think i'm going to buy an off brand dye then for the T1000 coolant. because they offer legit no damn color options in transparent.
