My new M.2 SSD got the gold scraped off when i put it in.
So i got a new M.2 ssd for christmas, the Intel 660p 2tb, and during installation (granted, i didnt quite know what i was doing) the gold on one of the pins scraped off. My friend said that was the cause of my pc not displaying anything.

Im sending it back tomorrow and getting a replacement but is there a way i can get it in there without risking that again? Like can i use some pressurized air to get the dust out of the port or am i just stuck hoping it doesn't next time?

Can't seem to find any information of your motherboard online @OP.
I suggest OP just buys a normal 2.5 inch SATA SSD.
The Intel 660p is a M key
The Acer Aspire TC 710 uses a B key slot

Need to buy an m2 ssd that supports B keyed slot, such as WD Blue for example

There is several types of pci-e interface cards which fit into a M.2 slot. Depending on the number which corresponds to the length. M.2 (NGFF - Next generation form factor which is M.2's actual name.

M.2 M-key is what most NVMe drives use M.2 M-key 2280. There are several key types

M-key
A+E key
B+M key

I swapped an M.2 card on my laptop with an Intel 9260 the bluetooth/wifi module it came with was KillerLAN which is trash

OP has an M only keyed ssd.
Motherboard only supports B keyed, so OP need to get an ssd that supports both B+M, Intel 660p is M only
https://www.delock.com/infothek/M.2/M.2_e.html

B-key (ONLY supports SATA III (6Gbps)) meaning it is connected to the SATA bus.
M-key is connected to the PCIe buslanes either x2 or x4

Building computers isn't as easy as people think if you really know what you are doing and something goes wrong you probably won't be able to fix it being aware of compatibility is a big one.
