Will a 3440x1440 monitor function with the GT 710 at 60Hz
My present monitor is a 2560x1080 144 Hz (OC to 200)
I have two machines
One is for gaming with a GTX 1080 ti connected through Display port. I have tried using nvidia DSR to a very similar resolution to 3440x1440p and have acceptable performance.

The second is a linux machine with a single slot fanless gt 710 low profile card. it is connected through HDMI. It can display at 60Hz with the 2560x1080p monitor no problem.

I am thinking of getting the Acer X34P

https://www.acer.com/ac/en/AU/content/predator-model/UM.CX0SA.P02

I want to use the card as it is low profile, fanless and single slot without a heat sink that is so big it takes up two slots. There is apparently no higher spec card that has these.

I need to use the machines concurrently sometimes so a dual boot with the gaming machine is out.

I looked at the nvidia website and trying to find info on what is can support. I want it to display 3440x1440 60Hz over HDMI with the gt 710.

The site

https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-710/specifications

is very unclear what it can support.

Is there info somewhere showing this setup has been tested & working?

So I want:

For the gaming machine - gtx 1080 ti to support 3440x1440p 100Hz over display port - yes
For my linux machine - gt 710 to support 3440x1440p 60Hz over HDMI - unknown.

Of course I an not going to attempt to play 3D games with the GT 710.

Useful into appreciated.

It will run at 30Hz I think. Lemme check, I also have a Linux server running a 710 2GB.

What resolution monitor do you have?
How do you check that frequency it is running at on the server.
I have ubuntu server running on a laptop and have never had any reason to check.

Oh and my GT 710 is the 1GB version.
Unsure if it makes any difference on the resolution though.

Same as you, 3440x1440. I will have to install a GUI on it, you will know how it runs in a few minutes.

It indeed runs at 30Hz, like I expected. It's a pretty horrible experience. You can blame the old HDMI 1.4 for that.

Xrandr if you have a running display server.

Thanks. It seems from the command that a 100hz 3440x1440p can be forced on your system but will the gt 710 be able to to that. It does not have a display port connection so I assume it must be the HDMI connector.
Perhaps it is a virtual screen. Of course I cannot really test until I buy the monitor.
The machine I wish to connect to the monitor is not my server but a machine with ubuntu mate installed.

Thanks
