Graphics card decision
My current pc has a GTX 1050ti, ryzen 3 1200 and 8gb Corsair 3000mhz ram.

I’m selling the GTX 1050ti and I’m going to buy a new graphics card? What should I upgrade to, for better performance?

The only game I really play is Fortnite and I get around 120fps, going down to 70fps in really “stacked” games.

I have around £350 to upgrade with

GTX 1660 Ti, beyond that, your CPU might hold you back.

Will it give me a big enough performance boost worth selling the 1050ti and upgrading?

Absolutely..you will get double the fps in games maybe even a bit more if not bottlenecked by cpu.

Awesome. I’ll get that sorted then
Would a 1070 bottleneck a lot? A lot of 1070’s going cheap just now.

the fortnite benchmark for the average user is way higher.
And within that budget the best card that makes sense for your "low end" CPU.

barely better then the GTX 1660 Ti while being 3 years older.

Upgrade to 16gb ram and an ssd also. Update Win10 to 1909 and wipe all the drivers and redo them fresh with latest ones after Win10 is on 1909

I’ll get another 8gb ram but I already run my pc on an ssd
if your looking to stay in the 100+ fps just grab an RX 480, its cheap and it crushes the 1050ti in performance, for 350 you could upgrade to an rx 480/580, ryzen 5 2600 and 8 more gigs of ram.then you would be set. They made huge improvements with the 2xxx series of ryzen over the first 1xxx series, not only will you get better fps and much higher lows but the 1xxx ryzens have known issues with games. Some being microstuttering and much lower fps compared to a comparable chip like the i3-8100, now of course if you looking at playing higher end aaa titles ditch all of that and get a gtx 1070, it beats the 1660ti and is only about 170 as long as you dont get the founders edition

So would an rx 580 definitely be better value?

why get such an old card when you get better stuff of current generations for the same price? And no the Ryzen 2000 series are not that much betetr, Ryzen 3000 is. Also GTX 1070 is 3 years older then GTX 1660 Ti for about same performance.
Get your facts straight befor recommend outdated stuff that is worse then he could get for the same money.

Depends. A 1650 would be a nice upgrade quite frankly, another option I'd consider is probably a RX 580, a 1070 or something around those lines. You could get an older card like a 780 Ti or 980/980 Ti which nowadays should be considerably cheap, and they still kick ass.

If you want to really compete in Fortnite I'd suggest you also upgrade your CPU to a Ryzen 3 3200G or Ryzen 5 3400G, which would probalby get you over 160 FPS, and then I'd build up a budget to buy a 144hz display, then you'll be rekting noobs like there's no tomorrow... right?

Why those when there’s Ryzen 5 2600x/3600x?
Yeah I would go with a 1660ti/1660 Super, whichever you can find cheapest.
