Can you have both Nvidia and AMD drivers installed at once
I'm thinking about getting a GTX 1650 SUPER to replace my RX 560. So I would like to know if I can install Nvidia drivers, turn off my computer, replace the RX 560 with the GTX 1650 SUPER, turn back on the computer, and then uninstall the AMD drivers.

Not to belittle you're upgrade but you should aim higher, you sure you can't afford a GTX 1660 Super?

Back on track though, yes you most likely can do that. Just make sure to uninstall the old drivers you don't need anymore afterwards.

I might be able to stretch my budget to get a 1660 SUPER

You can totally do that. The driver that ain't in use are not hurting anything except for maybe Windows loading times due to lots in Windows registry entries.

Use DDU to fully remove the drivers.

It would be best for you to uninstall drivers, install gpu, then install drivers. You won't be able to install the Nvidia driver without the Nvidia gpu installed.

1. Download Display Driver Uninstaller https://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu-v18021-released

2. Download Nvidia driver installer package https://www.geforce.com/drivers

3. Reboot into safe mode.

4. Run DDU and remove AMD drivers, then shutdown.

5. Remove current gpu and install new gpu, then boot.

6. Run Nvidia driver package and install drivers.

7. Enjoy.

you can

if you have the amd apu and nvidia gpu
but in those cases, you should disable the amd apu in bios, and just have the nvidia driver installed

a few laptops have an amd apu and nvidia gpu
those need both drivers at the same time

if you are installing a new gpu amd <-> nvidia
best to boot to safe mode, use ddu to wipe the driver and shut down
then swap gpus
reboot and install the correct driver

Just use ddu, wipe everything via safe mode. Then shutdown and swap gpu

Go with 1660 Ti or higher
1650 anything is not worth it.

1650 super is fine is your running 1080p and it doesnt make any difference if you remove the old drivers or not if you had old amd drivers though youll get a notice that it cant load the drivers and thats all.Its not going to effect your performance in any way. On the topic of the 1650 super its actually the best bang for buck performance wise when it comes to a new graphics card. When it comes to used the gtx 1070 has best bang per buck cause its on vega 56 level performance at about 170 USD.Which is roughly the same price as the 1650 super, the 1070 beats the 1660 super by a decent margin and ties the 1660 ti. Would probably out do the card if the game needed more than 6bg of vram.If you dont care about raytracing which already bogs the cards down drastically I would look into a gtx 1070

Always do a wipe with ddu in safe mode. Even if you just want to change driver versions.
