Not really. The difference between the 1080 Ti and 2080 Super is within 10%, and a good 1080 Ti OC can easily match it.

I'd say get a 2080 Ti, but you're better off waiting until RTX 3000 series where the 3080 should be around 2080 Ti performance for 2080 cost.

On price to performance? 1080ti for as long as it's quality and not a miners card.

On RTX crap and a longer warranty? 2080 super

Save your money for a 2080 ti is my logical suggestion, but if you can get 1080ti that isn't a scam, go with that.

I suggest you stick with the 1080 ti unless you really really need the hardware ray tracing that is not that great anyway.

It's not $600 better no. The 1080 ti is still in the top 5 fastest consumer GPU's. And the 2080 super is just the next spot up.

I think if you held on to the 1080TI this long you should just wait for next gen. That is when I plan to replace my 1080ti.

Unless NVIDIA drop their prices on rtx cards for the next generation I will be hanging on to my 1080ti.. I skipped first generation rtx because I refuse to pay over 2k AUD for a graphics card

If cost to performance is the barrier for you than I totally get it. I wasn’t really impressed with performance so I just held on. No guarantees the next gen will be a performance marvel either so might just have to wait even longer, maybe AMD might pull a rabbit out of its hat and surprise us...

Do the maths: Cost of 2080 Super - Revenue from selling 1080 Ti + Original Cost of 1080 Ti = Real cost of upgrading. Then judge whether the increase in framerate is worth that total cost number. I have a 1080 Ti and it is not for me.

Its more like a side grade. Wait until 3000 series. The RTX 2080 Ti is overpriced with its 1200 dollar price tag. I think a 3080 will probably match or beat a 2080 Ti. And Nvidia will probably offer it for a lower price as well.

If you're just gaming then no. If you're recording gameplay for broadcast and want to take advantage of Turing or you need DLSS for something then yes :-)
