What to look for in a PC CASE
What are the factors to consider it is a good case?
Is it okay to buy a cheap case?

I'm buying a case and i don't know how to look a good case

Good airflow, ease of maintenance, quality, assembly, aesthetics
Airflow is the big factor. For a budget case, would a Fractal Design Focus G fit your budget?
Lots of blue LEDs make it run cooler and attracts the ladies.

Personally I'd say go with one that has:

- PSU basement to help hide cables
- A mesh front panel to help with intake airflow
- Glass side panel instead of acrylic
- Doesn't have a bunch of harddrive slots at the front that will restrict airflow and likely won't even be used
- Look for a mid size case instead of a full size, unnecessarily bulky and hard to move and normally just for guys overcompensating

+1 for the tempered glass vs acrylic. Just wiping acrylic scratches it, pretty annoying.
Front usb / audio ports are also nice bonus and most decent cases will have those.

Front audio isn't shielded and shouldn't be used, but yes USB is nice.

thank youuu
Bottom mounted PSU, enough room for cable management and long graphics cards, enough cooling options (mesh front and top fan slots is a plus).
Keep in mind that lot of cheaper cases come with either only back exhaust fan or only front intake fans so you would need to add the missing ones for decent airflow so you would have both intake and exhaust.
If you're ever unsure of the size of fans or radiator can fit in your case just find that model of case on NewEgg and go to the specifications tab. Although not always, typically the rear comes with one 120mm at the top or back, and normally can fit two 140mm at the front. If the fan comes pre-installed facing the top of the case, I suggest you remount it to the back of the case and then have at least one fan at the front as well for intake and exhaust airflow.

The case is about the only 'future proof' component of a PC.

I suggest you consider long term and invest in a decent one with:

ATX motherboard support
Lots of space for large/multiple GPUs
The option for at least a 240mm AIO.
Options to place extra fans if needed.

It is unknown if you will ever need/want the extra components. It depends on what is released and their price.

Also stay away form the ones with the included power supplies.

That's not even remotely true... :lunar2019laughingpig:

He's technically right. You don't upgrade your case as often as you upgrade your components. A good quality case can last you many different part changes and it's not one of those things that get "outdated" apart from minor changes from newer cases

Yes but to say it is the only component you should look towards future proofing is just wrong.

Even just a motherboard for one example, if you were getting a current gen Ryzen CPU you should avoid the oldest compatible chipset, or chances are the next future gen Ryzen CPU won't even work with it.
