SSHDs are ok. They are nice game drives. The Firecuda is a nice drive for the price.
But nowadays a 1TB SSD is about 30 euro more expensive then a 1TB HDD. The 30 euro extra is totally worth it for the SSD.
If you need 2TB of storage or more go with HDDs, at these higher capacities the HDDs are a much better deal than SSDs.
Small and slow cache + less then ideal caching algorithms mean that you will get zero benefit from caching in most practical cases.
For absolute majority of task "sshd"==hdd. And that's the reason why they never became popular...
Also with the amount of RAM modern computers have 8GB of cache are kind of funny, simple os-level hdd caching which works by default is miles ahead of it...
Just get hdd if you need storage, or ssd if you need speed, "sshd" is a waste of money.
cheap with large amount of space and good speed once the sshd learns what to cache on the ssd part
but most are a very slow hdd with tiny ssd (8-16g)
if you can afford a 512-1tb ssd, its a much better option over a 1tb sshd
and pick up a fast 1/2/4tb hdd for games

this is oldish but have 7200 rpm ( I THINK )
Ps.. if know something else feel free to link it here, from the same amazon link i send and possibly with prime on it, i don't have much time left at home, 2/3/4 Tb, no ssd/nvme this time i need pure storage power and not speed)
Do not know if they still sell them but one relatively recent model i remember is toshiba hdwe140.
