4k TV Black Screen Flicker when used as Monitor HDMi Issue?

[RTX 5080 FE(Mr Happy)]

hey all, so, I am using my 4k Vizio e43u-d2 TV to enjoy some movies and gaming until I pick up a 4k monitor.

However, at 4k, at 60 Hrz, the TV goes black for a second at random times, for less than a second. This happens as little as once an hour or as much as 5x in 5 minutes.

CEC and all power saving features are turned off. I have highspeed hdmi with ethernet from the back of my gtx1080ti to the HDMI 1 ARC on the tv.

It should be noted that the black screen ONLY flickers when I turn UHD full color sampling on. When its off, I can use it with no flickering-it does flicker ever so often, but not as much.


I am assuming my HDMI are the cause, they are 10 feet long and possibly 1.4 as they are 2 years old.

I ordered some 2.0b 18gbps 4k 60fps rated hdmi to test the issue with, ill update here when I test, but has anybody came across this issue before?
