Sweet! 👍

I’m going to install one then and see how much faster it is.

Thanks 🙏.

Edit: I’ll find out for sure soon enough.

The M.2 port is both SATA and NVMe, So yes it will work.

Oh, that explains why it’s so damn fast! (Edit: and working).

I’ve freed up 12.8 GB by running POWERCFG -H OFF

Now I (just) have enough free space for all my ‘big’ games.

Just trying to get Origin to recognise that Battlefield 1 is already downloaded.
I don’t want to wait 30 minutes to play it (2 hours total download time, playable at 25%)...

as said hibernation gets some space for saving every app.
It’s so awesome! 😎
My brother set it up for me. 👍

It’s like six times faster than my old SSD, at least.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Yup you should have no issues.
A bit late, but did you have any problems to see the ssd in BIOS?
I can see it in Windows, but its not activated in BIOS
wow what a necro post......

its both on this motherboard.....its not both in a lot of things.....my current laptop will NOT work with a SATA M.2 drives....my sisters garbage gateway laptop with a 10th gen i5 in it wont work with anything that is not a SATA M.2......

people still think NVME drives define the M.2 standard....it does not....

CHECK YOUR MOTHERBOARD BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING

and the admins can lock this now

If you are actually having an issue and want help I'd suggest making your own thread and providing specific details for your hardware rather than necroing a nearly 6 and a half year old thread that may or may not be related to your situation.

Make a new thread, post your issue clearly, and then run the CPUz validator and include the link so people know what hardware you are using.
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
