how do i control fan speed and 1 fan header isn't showing up
i installed speedfan and i dont have a clue how it works, cause i used some splitters for my fans and i think only one of the headers are showing up there. in BIOS it only says i could edit chassis fan 1 too

i don't think speed fan has been updated in years if you have a modern motherboard its not surprising your having problems

Use the software from the Motherboard maker, from their site for your exact model of motherboard.

They all do, go on the website for the exact model of board...

Ab350m what though?
There are many of those... like Pro4 for example

Just Google the full model of board. Then go to the official asrock website that is for that actual model, then click software/downloads

Julien, cut it out. 2020년 1월 27일 오전 11시 37분
You control the fans via the UEFI (BIOS), most likely you'll find that option under the H/W Monitor tab.
Did you connect one of your chassis fan to the PSU via a molex connector?

Its just called the Ab350m. i got the asrock a-tuning and i checked on the fans and it says chassis fan 1 and cpu fan 1. i also done a fan speed test and it says at every speed it is staying the same rpm. however i clicked on system info and it says there is a chassis fan 2 aswell i just think i cant control it. i dont want it at 100% so is there anything i could do? like updating bios would that help ?

not anymore, my old ones did but these fans all use a 3 pin connector

Also most UEFI bios has a Basic and Advanced sections. Go into Advanced to see what all you can edit.

Not all fan headers allow control.
Just use a fan splitter and connect 2 fans to a header that allows control. As long as both fans have nearly the same max rpm, then they should be fine to be controlled off one header. The speed changes will apply to both fans when using a splitter.

In future maybe just get a sata powered fan hub or fan controller.

so there isnt anyway to get the 3 pin to change speeds at all. cause if so then i would get a fan hub. (checked bios and the chassis fan 2 is there but cant change it)

3pin fans change speed via dc voltage.
4pin pwm fans can do it via various ways, dc voltage is just one of them.

All motherboard header fans can be directly controlled. However if you wish to control them via software, then go into the bios and disable any manual fan controls associated with fan speed and temp controls. This way you are relying on manual software control only. Otherwise the bios controlled settings may conflict with what you wish to do via os software. If a header doesn't show up in a piece of software, then usually that header is only meant to run at 100%. Many cheaper boards re like that. If you really need that header that can't be manually controlled, plug in a lower rpm fan to it so 100% rpms won't be an issue. Like maybe a 120mm fan that does 1000-1200 rpms max

ok thanks, so i think using a fan hub would be best for me then because my 2nd chassis fan says its at 1500rpm. do you think a Deepcool FH 10 would be good as it uses only 1 4pin header for speed and can hold 3 pin fans, and is powered by sata, would that let me change speeds? or do i need pwm fans?

All 3 and 4 pin fans can be manually controlled.

4pin pwm just has extra options of control, such as based on loads, temps, etc.

Link the cpu cooler in question.
