Powercolor 5700xt Red Dragon issues
I purchased parts for a build last night night. Everything has gone well except for the gpu. I have the gpu seated on the top pcie slot (is that the right term?)

When I power on the pc the case lights and fans as well as the mobo fans and lights all come on. The gpu has no lights and no fans. But it does get warm. I updated all the drivers and reseated the gpu. The fans come on, however any time I try to play a game I either get a black screen, a crazy checkers rainbow looking screen, or when I attempt to use superposition benchmark I get a solid red screen.

my complete specs are:
Aorus X570 Elite wifi
Ryzen 5 3600
Powercolor Red Dragon 57600xt
corsair 650 watt 80+ bronze
G.Skill 16 gig 3600
msi optix mag341cq 34in ultrawide 3440x1440

I have updated all the drivers for both the cpu and gpu. Any suggestions? Are should I return the card?

I am completely done with the build besides this. Ive installed windows 10 and various programs and games. I can search the web and watch youtube videos. I just cant game.

IMO if you have another videocard try it, to be sure. If you do not - just return the card and let them check it, it sounds like it is broken, even with how terrible navi drivers are it should not be like that.

Update windows and all driver from gigabyte site, run ddu in safe mode
and update bios

Is this[www.powercolor.com] your card?

1) No fan spinning when under 60°C
2) Bios Switch on the card. Toggle?

Before RMA:
1) Update the BIOS of the motherboard to the newest version (F11[www.gigabyte.com])
2) Install latest chipset driver from the AMD site[www.amd.com].

Read the manual of your motherboard. Change the BIOS Settings you need to.
You missed the information about your processor in the "complete specs".

8 pin power cable in?
Sounds like pcie power cable issues.

Using DDU is pointless if you don't disable Windows auto driver installer setting. You can easily do that with DDU also. With it left enabled it will auto install drivers from Windows Updates service
