Overclocking i5 6600k
Hi! So finally after few years of gaming im trying to overclock my CPU. But i wanted to done that quick so i just picked the upgrade cpu option in the bios (Gigabyte Z170 gaming k3) for 4.3 ghz oc.
I launched system stability test in AIDA64 for 11 minutes and everything was fine. Max temp were 62C. (i havent played any games yet)
But then i noticed that my Vcore wasn't changed at all. It's still on 1.17v...
Is this... fine?

My specs:
i5 6600k
Gigabyte GTX 1060 6gb
Z170 Gaming k3 gigabyte
corsair vengeance LPX 3000mhz 2x4gb cl15

The OC most likely operates with vcore offset, you also took the picture while idling. The VCore changes with the load on the CPU.

I'd also suggest to operate your case fans via the SysFan connector.

I made a mistake. I took the screenshot right after testing.
Here's new one.

(I also changed oc to 4100 from the easy tune. Before i was picking the upgrade in bios)
Now it's set for 1.164v

An auto OC wont always modify voltage
a few factors dictate whether or not the voltage needs to be raised, mostly at higher speeds will voltage need to be touched. only 4.3 is likely not one of those instances.

If AIDA was stable it should be fine.

I don't have any experience with AIDA.
Your CPU has a TDP of 91 W.
The CPU Package Power is at 53 W.

I'd also suggest to test your CPU with a second stresstest tool like prime95, OCCT.
My preferred way of monitoring is HWiNFO.

And as ☥ - CJ wrote, there are many factors that determine the behaviour of a CPU. A light overclock might not need an increase in VCore.

Ok. Thank you all for all informations and help :) PC is stable for now and i'll test it more when i'll have free Time.

overclock.net has better guides and results for most k cpus

If all your getting is 62c in a stress test, over clock some more, you should be able to get at least a 4.5ghz overclock, considering every i5-6600k (according to Silicon lottery) can hit that speed.

I say keep going until it reaches 85c.

Also, 11 mins isn't really enough for a stability test, you'd want to test for a few hours.
And you'd want a fixed voltage, the auto stuff is kinda janky, and often feeds more voltage than it needs to into the CPU (Creating more heat.) I'd just use a fixed voltage, and set the clocks as high as they can go.

Aida64 is not stressful enough.

Try Prime95 small FFTs looped for approx 30 mins while monitoring cpu temps
