RGB not working properly on corsair LL140mm RGB fan but only when i play a game

If im not playing a game, my rear fan is fine. Once i start playing a game, my rear fan starts flickering and doing weird stuff and nothing fixes it. But once i exit a game, after a few minutes the fan is fine again.

Im using corsairs LL140mm Fan for the rear and 3 other LL120mm fans for the Radiator. All corsair RGB fans are connected to the Corsair RGB Hub which is then connected to the lighting node which is then connected to a USB 2.0 header on my motherboard.

The fans on my rad work fine. The rear fan is the one doing the weird stuff.

I tried maxing out my fan speed in bios to see if it was due to the fan speeding up causing it to flicker but it wasnt. That did not make it flicker.

Im using ICUE because that can also control my Vengence ram where as corsair link does not allow me to control my ram for some reason. I have set the controller to 4 fans and use the LL fans aswell.

Anyone got any ideas as to why the rear fan flickers but only during a game? Keeping in mind iv tried more then 1 game and it happens in both.

what header is it plugged into? 2 or 4 pin?
if its a 3 pin, use a pwm splitter and put it on the same as another 4pin pwm fan

it sounds like its on a 3pin voltage controlled header to adjust the fan speed
if it is a 4 pin header, go to bios and change that one to pwm instead of voltage controlled

I do not understand? What are you refering to when you say "It"?

All 4 RGB plugs are plugged into the Corsair RGB Hub which is then plugged into the other Lighting Node then that Lighting node is plugged into a USB 2.0 header on the board.

Both the node and the controller are plugged into power.

The node is connected to the controller by a 3pin cable aswell.

How do i change this to a different votage thingy?

the fans need 12v constant power and pwm signal for speed and 2812b signal for rgb led colors

12v can be obtained from a molex, sata or pwm fan header
pwm fan speed signal from the pwm fan header
2812b signal from the corsair light controller

The RGB LEDs on these fans don't get their power from the fan header. They get powered by the Corsair RGB Controller.

You would be pointing (kinda) in the right direction if this was a simple LED fan.

its the other way around. The fans RGB cables are connected to the RGB Controller which then is connected with a cable to the lightning node which is connected with an micro USB - Internal USB 2.0 Cable to the motherboard.

I know lol. I realized id got it wrong a few minutes ago. But either way i plugged it all in correctly and it turns out its not a software issue... I ran 3dmark with ICUE disabled and..... well... it still flickered... So iv emailed Corsair support.
