This is in comparison to my main rigs setup of shure srh1540's with schiit audio modi/magni 2 amp/dac that cost 7-8x as much so I'm not comparing them with other similar priced headphones, yet they do a solid job.
Sadly it has to be all combined in some way as i use the headset outside as well but im leaning toward not unless i can find a cheap usb adapter for my other devices.
Thanks ill look that headset up!
You can get both by using something like this usb adapter 1Mii B03[www.amazon.com] and this headphone adapter CSR8675 Wireless Apt-X HD Headset Adapter[www.amazon.com]
Or if you just want AptX LL you can save some $ and get something like this receiver Avantree Leaf Long Range USB[www.amazon.com] and this headphone adapter Avantree Clipper Pro[www.amazon.com]
In either case, use whatever headphone you like, the mic is built into the headphone adapter so you just have to clip it on your shirt near your neck. Or, if you're not using the mic just clip to your belt or whatever.
Not sure if you are using borderlinx[www.borderlinx.com] as your international amazon shipper, if not it's worth a look.
If you continue to look at all these gaming brands for audio, you are essentially just getting a toy.
Its weird to me that a gaming headset cant have decent audio quality, but i guess thats just me.
Thanks for your suggestions, however i dont wanna order from amazon, the shipping cost is massive and not worth it when my things will break so.
There is nothing about a gaming headset thatakea it any better at gaming than headphones. Audio is audio.
If you've had headphones that were uncomfortable and were not good with gaming, then you got bad headphones.
You can get a mic. You can get one that will connect just like a headset, you can have a clip on mic, you can have a desktop mic... Plenty of options.
The best gaming brand headsets get easily outperformed by mid range headphones that cost a fraction of the price. Gaming brands use cheap, prefabricated drivers (speakers), and do not put enough R&D into audio quality and tuning. They focus on aspects that the typical uninformed gamer looks for, which is eye candy and fancy words.
Amazon has free shipping options to many countries, where do you reside? Amazon also has a great return policy. If you get something worth buying, it shouldn't break on you.
I'm not an audiophile myself though and for what I use my headset for my Cloud Alphas are fine. I did get them at a decent price last year so compared to none gaming brands they perform reasonably well for the price I paid.
Well its not like ill just use the headset at my computer, ill use it outside aswell so it having a mic to begin is better than getting a portable one. Its not like my phone or tablet have usb ports:P
You can literally get a mic that will connect and turn headphones into a headset. One 3.5mm cable.
Nothing about a gaming headset makes it better than headphones.
You clearly need to do more research, as you don't seem to understand the options available to you.
Hard for me to recommend, as I'm in America. Online options would be similar, but localized options I have no idea about.
If you want a headset, Sennheiser has some gaming headsets to tickle your gaming fancy. However, these headsets are not your typical gaming headsets. They actually have good audio. Sennheiser is a tried and true audio company.
Other than that, I'll need more information to find out what headphones would be a good fit for you.
Typically, open back headphones are best for positional audio, but terrible for use outside. You'll need to decide which is more important for you. But do keep in mind that there are options that are closed back or semi closed (or something in and in between) that can offer a good middle ground.
I actually grabbed an Uproar on sale for $25, crazy good battery life and small enough to keep in my laptop bag and I constantly use them for on-line meetings paired to both my phone and work laptop.
I only mentioned Skullcandy since they did get a mention on Rting’s best wireless headphones by feature[www.rtings.com], specifically the Grind as being a good on ear pick. Also why I decided to try the Uproar at 1/2 the price.
