How to install older version of Nvidia graphics driver?
After updating my graphic driver to the newest one, fps been dropping to 10-30 many time. I can't rollback to previous version because I used DDU. When I try to install the older version, this shows up "Nvidia installer cannot continue, The standard NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows. Please update your driver using GeForce Experience to download the correct version". But I don't want to use GeForce Experience because it only allows me to update to the newest one which has problem.

intel hd gpu is seen as primary display gpu: has resources and display resoution set

nvidia gpu has oem4.inf: aside from memory resources allocated, has no resolutrion set (disabled? gpu oem driver not loaded?)

go to your laptop manufacturer and download latest and previous gpu driver from there.

The 1060 notebook is what you're looking for.

What is your native language by chance?

I am from Malaysia, but my laptop is delivered and purchased from US by my US relative.

Edit: My native language is Chinese but mainly I use English for gaming/homework/computer.

I will update my windows 10 pronto later after my class. Or can you provide direct link for that? If so I would be grateful :D

You need to either get the “other” language version for your driver, or the en-us version.

English US version for your laptop:

I managed to install an older version of Nvidia driver. The fps is better now but somehow during gameplay. When I am playing For Honor, the fps sometimes drop to 10 or even lower for few seconds then it goes back up to 60. Any idea how to fix it?

Uninstall Geforce Experience.

Also keep in mind that sometimes throttling will do that when heat becomes an issue. You’re on a laptop and that’s what they sometimes do yo keep cool.

You also need to open up the NVIDIA Control Panel and set the main GPU to the GTX1060.

As you are on a laptop disabling the shader cache in the NVIDIA CP may help.

FPS fluctuations may be due to thermal throttling

Aslo, as you are on a laptop enable Vsync in games you play, this should also help limit any thermal issues.

I had to go to safe mode to unistall all old drivers, restart computer twice, install new driver, restart computer to finish it and then I could return to normal mode in Windows 8.1 to get the nvidia driver to install correctly on my MSI GT-70-2OC laptop. I did this on about 8 different drivers as newer drivers never worked on it.

So now the issue is that my fps during gameplay is stuck at 30fps or 15fps around. Won't go any higher anymore.
Supafly 29 DIC 2018 a las 7:47
Single Game or several? Some games have a 30 fps cap.

Check Vsync Options.
If enabled and you have a 60 monitor but can hit 60 fps vsync will be capping fps to 30 and lower if you can't it 30. In Nvidia cotrol panel make sure V sync options is set to Adaptive Sync and in games make sure V sync is off/disabled

Played For Honor and Dota 2. Having the same fps issue.
