They should... depends what the current bottleneck is.

Yes your games will load faster.

However it's best to put Windows on the SSD instead of on the HDD. When Windows is installed on the SSD the system will become a lot more responsive.

and msot games do not care for a SSD. some games do not load faster on a SSD comapred to a fast HDD. And other games load liek 1 second faster, and most multiplyer games load faster but then you have to wait 40 seconds instead of 30s econds befor everybody else loaded and the match starts.

first SSD always for the OS. SSD for games is optional but should not eb sued whiel the OS is still on a HDD.

yes I loaded in like 5 seconds and then had to wait 60-90 seconds befor you loaded. I easily could have used a HDD instead and wait in the loading screen for you.

Games on my ssd generally load noticeably faster, it also improved gta v's gameplay smoothness and should do for most open world games.

You really want your OS on an SSD... it makes one hell of a difference, don't leave it on a slow HDD.

If you get at least a 250GB SSD you can house both your OS (higly recommended, as noted by previous answers) and at least a few games depensing on their size. I hear ARK can be like over 100GB but most games shouldn't take more than maybe 50GB (guesstimate).
Of course get as big as possible, and do compare read/write speeds as they can differ vastly between SSDs. I'd go for a Samsung EVO, good price for great performance.

But will i still experience faster boot times if my bootdrive is the harddrive?

No. Windows and your applications will still run dirt slow when installed on the HDD.

They should load faster yes. But it's really not worth it.

Fully agree, using an 860 evo 500gb (os+some games) with a 1tb SSHD (everything else), could not be happier.
