Low fps on every game few days after reinstalling windows

So i reinstalled windows and few days after it i am not even hitting 60fps in most of the games.
I have GTX 1070, i7-7700 and 16gb 2400mhz ram.

What video driver version are you running?

Is your PSU more than 3 years old?

is the monitor connected to the motherboard or the GPU? Did you install the chipset drivers first befor installing the other drivers?

It might be the newest drivers causing it. My friends frames halved after installing 417.22 on a GTX1060.
I have seen many similar reports in tech groups im in.
There is also a reddit thread about it.
Try wiping the drivers and install 416.94.

check temperatures of cpu, gpu, chassis.
check health of disk drives (S.M.A.R.T. status)
check if you have installed steam pre-requisite programs (directx 9.0c june 2010, visual c++ 2008)
check if you have rebooted pc after installing each motherbaord chipset driver.

try diver 399.24

did you install the correct chipset/gpu drivers

windows takes a guess and grabs drivers that are close enough to work
but never the latest or correct drivers

go to mobo mftg, amd/intel, realtek, ect.. for chipset/usb/lan ect.. drivers and intel/amd/nvidia for gpu driver

If you let Windows install the GPU drivers rather than manually downloading it yourself that could be the cause.

If this is the case, i would download the driver beforehand and use DDU in safe mode to uninstall the drivers.

When installing the driver, choose Driver only then select custom install and deselect everything But PhysX unless you specifically need a driver.

I would also recommend not installing GFE if you dont need it as it can cause performance problems by itself.

I have the same problem at CS GO normally 256 fps at this moment 23 fps ://
I was sure that i get a problem with my Win10 so i made yesterday reinstal but the same problem ://
In my opinion after new version of drivers NVidia

If someone knows how to solve the problem just let us know

Hmm yeah like i told OP before. Try older drivers like 416.94. I have seen a lot of mobile gpus having their fps crippled with newest drivers.
