Is the GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS Ultra good for i9 9900k?
I'm trying to change my motherboard, and I've heard it's one of the best motherboards for it. Can anyone confirm that claim? How good is it really?

Somewhat but I recommend Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme Z390 since it has more amps, good VRM.

Way too expensive for me. I'm trying to buy an i9 9900k, it's gonna cost 650$ + taxes (in canadian money). This thing is a hundred bucks more expensive, that means around 1400$ just for these two things

Ryzen 5 3600 has a lot more value for gaming.

This?

https://www.amazon.ca/ROG-Maximus-XI-Code-Motherboard/dp/B07HM4LX15/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Asus+Maximus+Formula&qid=1575390545&sr=8-1
If going Intel, yes.

But overall going Intel is just a waste of money today. RYZEN is the better bang for buck now and gives the same performance

No this is maximus XI code but more then fine. I have this board aswell and my i9-9900k runs with 5.3ghz allcore.
There are no bad boards in this price range.

Dont hear on these guys who wants to tell you how good r5 3600 are. They are very good if your budget is low and you want the most for your small money. I9-9900k/ks is still the best gaming cpu for 1080p/1440p.

Only amd's r9 3950x comes close in some games but for 800+ bucks way to expensive if you cant make use of this many threads

No, Ryzen is good, period.
I wouldn't waste that kind of money on anything Intel right now. Doing so would just be throwing away money.

If you want higher end Ryzen for serious work and not just gaming alone, then look at X570 board and 3800X or 3900X

Whatever you get that isn't mid range stuff buy a serious cooler, such as BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4

I dont hate AMD, but I'm kinda used to Intel and I wish to stick to Intel for now.
Higher end GPU+Ryzen 5 3600 will get you more FPS than a low end GPU with 990K. Just keep that in mind everyone. Intel makes sense only if your budget is $2.5K and you already have a 2080ti. And even then I wouldn't get it.

Would make more sense to go 3600 then save up to upgrade to the RTX 3xxx series. Intel costs double to triple what a 3600 will.

To me, it's not worth paying triple the amount for a 10% difference.

The reason I want a i9 9900k is because i know it will be good for a couple of years.

This is not a Intel vs AMD thread, I just want the question answered
