Crucial MX500-series is probably the best low-cost SSD out there right now, along with the ADATA SU800 series. Currently using both, and they've served me well so far.
Yeah I`m using Crucial MX500 myself too and no complaints about speed or reliability.
Look at ADATA, Crucial or WD Blue
I'd look at a 500gb model.
Then go into Windows, get your current hdd used space down below that of the new ssd, then install the ssd branded disk clone software from the drive makers website and clone the os hdd to ssd. Then reboot and enter the bios and make the ssd the only, or first boot device. Once os is running off the ssd, wipe the hdd clean using disk management. Once the hdd is reformatted, go to steam client, settings, downloads, steam library folder and add new library folder to the hdd. Now you will have options to install games to the secondary hdd, or also move existing games from ssd over to hdd.
I mean at that price range I don't think anything matters anymore. It's all going to be tiny capacity-wise and entry level any most differences aren't going to be measurable or meaningful.
It's not worth going too cheap for ssd. If you want a good bang for buck, look at available models from Mushkin
Thats why i posted that Samsung thats 500GB for under $60 atm which no one paid attention to
