Good chuck, if you can aim for a 2060S. But that'll do nicely for 1080p60. I'd recommend a 144hz monitor too.

1660s is strong enough for newer games at 1080p60 near max

I refunded the Zotac 1660 Super AMP ($279.00tax incl.) . I decided to wait a while more. This old 970 has been holding up well enough I guess, and the money will go for family holidays anyway. Maybe a new years sale or something and I'll do as you said and grab a 2xxxx series
The next good sales usually don't occur until March/April for Spring Cleaning... inventory must go sales.
Some online places might have sales during February though, for Chinese New Year
