gsync on a benq free sync monitor
Hello. I have a Benq XL2730Z monitor. I installed the latest nvidia driver and enabled the new g-sync option. Gsync appears to run fine while in a game (pubg, cod) but when i turn my pc back on windows boots to a black screen. I can hear the normal window sounds when it starts up but can't see anything. Any ideas? Thanks for your time!

It's not Gsync, it's Freesync/Adaptive sync.

Freesync implementations can widely differ per monitor. Non-whitelisted monitors can run in to all sorts of issues.

I have the XL2730. Nothing I remember actually being different to the Z version.

Using the G-Sync compatible/Freesync mode it turns black on desktop. Only way I found to stop it was to lower the refresh rate to 120hz. Haven't got around to testing it in games yet.

Changed my refresh rate to 120. Works perfect now. Thanks!
