Constantly having to Network Reset
Started 2 weeks ago when AT&T came to the streey across installing wired connections. Noticed my connection was terrible in game (at 9 ping spiking to 200-1000 or more) every few mins, a few days I got lucky and was able to play with a stable connection. Got a new Wifi adapter, cause I thought that was the problem. Nope, got the new one a few days ago, did a network reset and it fixed everything. For the rest of the time I'm online its fine, but if I turn my computer off and on again, the problems back till I reset it again.

If this started with the ISP making additional connections in your area, the best thing to do would be to contact them if thats your ISP as well.

If your speeds are not affected at any time its an issue with your PC or the Router/Modem.

If speeds ARE affected when this happens then it could be due to peak usage for your area using up the bandwidth, in which case the only way to resolve that is if the ISP were to upgrade your area's HUB.

Theres just too many variables.

Does this happen with a WIRED connection?

So the connections just gets real bad after you turn your computer off? Or the connection is gone completely? Is the connection normal before you shut down the computer, or is it slow?

Might be worth it to call AT&T and have them send a goon out to check over your situation. Could be the techs working on your street messed up a connection. Or might be that HQ just needs to send a reset signal to your box.

Yeah the connections really bad, the connections normal before I shut it down.

No, there's an option in windows. In Network and internet under status theres an option saying network reset

I believe that resets/defaults the network card driver, which wouldnt be good if you are constantly doing this.

Goto your motherboard vendor and download the latest network adapter driver, or go to the network card vendors website and get the driver from there

Also
Go in your other threads and delete them, you only need 1, you made 3 additional threads.

Went and deleted the other threads, was setting up this one before I reset the network again and kept getting an error so I didn't know.

How bad is it if it does?

Which OS?
Your not in Australia are you as they are installing fiber to the Node NBN and after that everything seems to be really slow now.
You can directly use the wireless network through the WiFi adapter.
Choose the “Wi-Fi 2” as the secondary network which should have showed with the new wireless adapter connected.
This option is displayed at the top of the wireless network list in the task bar.

Nope, my motherboard didn't come with it (ASUS B150M), Windows 10, not in Australia, in good ol' Texas. I don't quite understand that last part, is there a vid you can link me showing it?

when we got cable internet we knocked out whole neighborhoods internet casue its 1970's wiring, they had to come out to fix

The Windows troubleshoot tool can only handle so much on the software side of things. If it doesn't work after the first couple of times, it most likely means something else is wrong.

open the zip, drag the folder to your desktop, open the folder then go into the LAN folder, either open asussetup.exe

or go into the Win10 folder and open the asussetup.exe there

Tried all 3 of them inside Win10, didn't work

Just do the original asussetup in the LAN folder itself then
