Need help with rgb of my Aorus rtx 2080 ti
Hi,
About a week ago bought a new rtx 2080 ti aorus extreme, and the first time i used it, the default lighting was working. Recently I changed motherboard (z390 aorus master) and suddenly the light isn't working at all. I used RGB fusion software with the previous motherboard (z370 gaming 5) and I played with the rgb effects, and it worked fine. (the last time I used the software I left the GPU lights on "OFF"...maybe it changed something in the card's bios)

Honestly, I really don't want to install RGB fusion software, I just want the default RGB back. Anyone know what's wrong? how can I revert to the default?

Thx. it seems that getting answers in Gigabyte's own forum is almost impossible :)

Play around with RGB fusion a bit more, it can be a bit buggy imo. (Reinstall the latest version of RGB Fusion)
I don't want to install RGB fusion cause it's "garbage" software imo..changing bios settings etc.
It was a mistake to install it in the first place. I am on a new build now if I wasn't clear. I just want to get the default rgb of the card back, like when you first plug it in and turn the pc on.
rgb fusion doesnt change bios settings - I sued it for a logn tiem espacially since my store is a gigabyte distributer.

RGB Fusion is buggy and the enwest evrsion is not always the best.
Have you tried to change the RGB within the BIOS directly. YOu only can select a single color for everythign with RGB Fusion compability to the same color and effect.
I use RGB Fusion with my board and fans with no problems aside from the usual bugs, but nothing like that.

To think it touches BIOS on a GPU is just absurd.
Uninstall Geforce Experience, open up NVIDIA Control Pannel.

Go to "change resolution" under the "Display" tree.

Use these settings for desktop color depth, output color depth and output color format, and Ourtput Dynamic Range.

I did, and quite frankly it depends on the type of display connector the OP is using. They have to click on "apply" to make the changes happen, and if they are trying to use 4k, they have to realize that the display may not be capable of RGB output at 4k resolutions.

He's talking about rgb lighting on his GPU nothing to do with the rgb colour output on his moniter.

Well in that case, there is no need to use RGB lighting on the GPU. It doesn't do anything but make the thing look shiny.
Can I suggest you at least make the effort to read threads that you post in as you've done the same thing on a number of times now in a short space of time and how is saying oh well you don't need rgb anyways it's just for show contributing to the op's problem ? If you feel the need to write something maybe update your blog or something 😆

Ever hear of the Cleveland Crud? I caught that a couple of days ago and am a bit sick from it xD That and my monitor is at a distance of 5 ft away from me. My logic is a bit fuzzier than usual as a result xD

Found a way to fix this, this thread kinda helped, but I had to uninstall everything drivers Geforce exp and reset the bios, So I created a video as I figured it out to help others with the problem. https://youtu.be/BrW3VsvHZ6s
Just delete rgb fusion and install open rgb, it worked on my aorus 2070 ti.
