EATX board in ATX case?

Hi. So yeah i would like to upgrade my case to a Corsair 500D RGB SE, which apparently only supports ATX motherboards (or smaller). But im not sure if my motherboard would fit in it.

ATX is 12 × 9.6 inch
EATX is 12 x 13 inch
My ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME is 12 x 10.7 inch but still counts as EATX.

I think it should fit but i want to be sure.

If the case is an ATX then it won't fix an EATX. More then likely supertower and some full towers support EATX. Rarley you'll see a mid tower even have EATX. That case will not fit your motherboard if it is EATX. You'll need either, a super tower or full tower.

As The Chicagoan alluded, if it's a spec ATX case it will not fit. I've seen them crammed into larger (outlier) ATX cases, but then you'll usually still have a problem with some edge of the mobo hanging off the end of the tray. Better to get a properly sized case.

Compatibility goes down in size, not up cuz this is a physical limitation factor.

Interestingly, the 450D appears to be a mid-tower case with EATX format support, in case you still want to keep the overall size down.

Quite often you can fit eatx in atx cases, they just have a minor overhang, which isn't really an issue, however, looking at that case, the cable tidy ara seems to slope into the main compartment, so it may just fit, but it won't be tidy.

If you want a similar sized case covered in glass, the lian li 011 dynamic is. An atx case that can take eatx as the motherboard tray area is forward of the cable tidy space so there is room for it to overlap.

A concern I would have with that case is there doesn't seem to be that much room for some of today's massive gpu's.
