ASUS MAXIMUS IX HERO Never in stock?
I can never find this motherboard in stock on amazon or ebay. I can get the code version for £300 but i'd prefer the HERO version as it is cheaper. Does anyone know anywhere or what time it may come in stock? Have they stopped producing these motherboards?

If u have no major oc plans or a need for all the feauters, u dont rly need the maximus..

And since its kabylake, I doubt asus will still producing the board.

Well im looking for a motherboard that looks good and is black and red i preferably like asus more ;/ Z270 board

Most boards are black and red these days... But, why are you looking to replace your existing board with an expensive old one? The money would be better saved for an upgrade.

As my current one causes coil whine in my system. So i'd like a new one
How is the IX Hero old? its newer compared to my current one, the IX was released last year

Your motherboard isn't causing coil whine, it's z270, 2 generations back now and has no upgrade path for anything you put on it, might as well just save the cash and get a new cpu and motherboard than waste £300 on old tech.

im sick and tired of people saying its not this, try this. i've been through 4 psu's, i've read things up that it has caused coil whine for some. Should i try my gpu at someone elses? They have the exact same psu evga g3 750w but a asus strix 1070 instead of my asus strix 1080, they have a completely different motherboard to mine

Money u could use on current gen.. don't force yourself coz of some coil whine and the black / red theme to buy a board for ~300 bucks.

I have an i7 7700k and trust me the coil whine is annoying
should i just go for an asus prime z270-A

Then do as you wish, I mean the amount of posts you've made but have somehow failed to show a recording of the noise is daft, I don't think this will solve your issue as from what you've said, you can only hear it when you press your ear against the pc, so to most the answer is easy, don't put your head against it.

You aren't going to listen to anyone anyway, you have pretty much proven that so waste your cash on any board you want, most are in black and red anyway.

I mean i can only hear it when i put my ear near the case in some games, but in others i can hear it with the headset of. Your telling me 4 psu's and 2 gpu's all have coil whine? What is today's industry. My friends psu does have a buzz when ear is next to it, and so does mine, but he doesnt get coil whine from gpu/cpu area when gaming unlike me

I don't want the extreme im afraid :( Will probably get the formula if i do end up going for the asus maximus ix or just get a asus prime z270-a

i have the apex ix and its a beast w/6700k o.c to 4.8 dont be afraid its a beast .best board i ever owned.whatever you get dont skimp you'lll regret it
