What cable is that? Are you sure the GPU is seated correctly in the PCI-E slot? What monitor do you have?
specs.
connected to and from?

I wonder if he is still trying to get a VGA signal out of that videocard, check his previous threads.

It’s an active hdmi to vga cable and the gpu is positioned correctly in the slot. Don’t know what the monitor is but it’s a 22’ with a vga slot
Which adapter did you get?

As you can see in the reviews, there are several reports of the cable not working. Looks like you bought something really cheap with a shoddy quality control. So, return it as defective.
Could be a faulty cable.

Silly question but often found here. Do you have the cable connected to the GPU Hdmi port and not one on the montherboard?

Yeah the cable is connected to the gpu. Although it says it’s an active hdmi cable so it works with my 1050 ti, it was miles cheaper than other cables and it’s from China soooo it’s probably faulty

I think it doesn’t work because although it says it’s active, it’s probably passive

Well, for an allegedly active cable it's very cheap. So it's either very low quality or a fake.
Either way I still think you should confirm the 1050ti is even working, not sure you got to that point or not... is there at TV in your place (or even a neighbor who is willing to help) that has an HDMI connection that you can test it out?

How do I test if the 1050 ti is working? When I start the pc, the fan stops spinning after a few seconds but I don’t know if that’s because of the cable or not. I’ll see if a different tv or monitor will work IF I can find one

to test the graphics card first try a monitor or tv that has hdmi input and use a hdmi cable from the graphics card to the screen. some graphics cards have a fan stop mode and run passively until around 60c but i don't know about the 1050ti having that function. the one i have doesnt unless i set it in control software.
Test the gpu on another pc using hdmi male to male or dp male to male. If you want vga, buy dp male to vga female active adapter, then plug dp side to gpu and connect monitor via vga to vga male to male cable. But again confirm gpu and/or ports actually work first

The adapter is not PAL based. Normally with HDMI and other digital connectors it wouldn’t matter. The cable you ordered goes from Digital to Analog and that analog part (the VGA connector) is probably NTSC.

You’re better off using an HDMI to DVI adapter on your monitor. If your monitor has a DVI-D or DVI-I connector, you just need an adapter for it.

Check what type of DVI connector your monitor has and go from there.
