Silly question but often found here. Do you have the cable connected to the GPU Hdmi port and not one on the montherboard?
I think it doesn’t work because although it says it’s active, it’s probably passive
You’re better off using an HDMI to DVI adapter on your monitor. If your monitor has a DVI-D or DVI-I connector, you just need an adapter for it.
Check what type of DVI connector your monitor has and go from there.
