Bequiet case fan question
Whats the difference between the bequiet bl039 pure wings 2 120mm and the bequiet bl046
Would it be worth it to go for the more expensive option (bl039) or are they pretty much the same when it comes to cooling and quietness. Cheers

There are two 120mm Bequiet Pure Wing 2 fans. A PWM and a DC one.

The PWM one being the more expensive option.

The difference between these two fans is that the PWM one can run at lower RPMs and be more accurately controlled.

Of course you do need a motherboard with PWM fan headers (Pretty much all modern stuff does) and you have to correctly configure the PCs BIOS for them to actually run in PWM and not in DC.

So PWM is a quieter option?

They can spin slow and that indeed means they CAN be more quiet.

Ok will probably get 2 140mm for intake and 1 140 for exhaust
