My pc thinks my PS4 controller is a headset.
Whenever i plug my PS4 controller in the sound from my speakers goes dead and i have to go in to my sound settings and set my tv as the output device because my pc thinks the controller is a headset......for some reason.

It's not a big problem at all but it is a bit odd.

It's not that odd, like the Xbox Controller the DS4 probably has a headphone jack for a chat headset. So it is an audio device too.

Just disable the DS4 audio profile in sound settings.

Like the Xbox controllers a DS4 can transmit/reciever audio.

When it happens open Sound settings and select it then right click and disable it. Do the same under the recording tab.
I guess it uses bluetooth audio for the headphone jack. Question is whether it actually works.
Standard bluetooth codec is not that great though.
