Need help about using a Surface Book 2 with a third-party docking station
Hi guys,
I just bought a USB-C docking station from WAVLINK. Here's the link to the product: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JHZX4GH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I wanted to connect my laptop (Surface Book 2) to a secondary screen, so I can play games on it. However after I connect the screen via the dock, the Nvidia GPU cannot be accessed. When I tried to open the Invidia Control Panel, it said "You are not currently using a display attached to an Nvidia GPU." I did some googling and find out that this "error" is usually happens with Desktop rigs as users plug their HDMIs in the wrong hole (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). While I can still access the Gefoce Experience's window still showing the GTX 1060, my games can't.
Is there a way to work around this? Thanks guys!(This post might look like a mess. Sorry, I'm nor proficient in English)

You do have a screen plugged in to the 1060 right?

OP is on a laptop. Not a desktop

O yeah sorry. I assumed he connected a external GPU to it.

In that case, wipe the Nvidia and Intel HD drivers with DDU and reinstall them again. I have seen this happen a few times on laptops, sometimes properly wiping the drivers fixes it sometimes not. In the cases where wiping the drivers doesn't fix it a Windows reinstall was required.
