Arctic Silver 5 or Prolimatech Pk3?
Which is better?

I am going to run a stock clock i9 9900k with a Noctua NH D15.

I think the Prolimatech Pk3 is the best but just checking that is the case before I buy it. :info:

I vote Arctic Silver 5 but it is pretty much a coin toss, they are both high quaility thermal paste.

Honestly I don't recognise that first one, and arctic silver 5 hasn't been that good for years now.

Personally I'd go with Arctic mx4 (I've found it to be very good over the years) or thermal grizzly conduconaught (I think that's the paste and not LM), they are both very good, long lasting and reasonably priced, but really all pastes are fairly close to one another (within 1 or 2 degrees).

I use Arctic MX4 myself and I can say first hand it is amazing, I recommend OP consider using it if overclocking.

I prefer MX4 or Cryonaut Thermal Grizzly. Artic Silver is Capacitive in nature and has silver particles in it . Although they claim its not electrically conductive. MX4 works just as good and is totally ceramic in nature. So if you accidentally get some on your motherboard it will cause no issues. Even if Artic Silver is not conductive its capacitive properties will cause issues if you get it between 2 traces

Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is recommended if you plan to overclock your CPU for better thermal performance.
I'm going with Prolimatech Pk3, it slightly outperforms the arctic silver 5.

thanks all.
Thermal Grizzly is the only company I use on pro level PC builds. The stuff is, literally, the best and most stable around. Gamers Nexus has put this stuff through it's paces, it always outperforms. They have great products and you won't go wrong.
the Noctua Thermal Paste is outstanding and the NH-D15 comes with a tube of it. It is perfectly fine and as good as Artic Silver 5.

If you really want an actual temperature decrese you have to delidd and switch the thermal paste with liquid metal and replace the IHS with a alrger CNC pur copper IHS.

Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut is the Liquid Metal. It applies easier then Coollabratory Liquid Ultra but performs slightly worse within margin of error.
