The Ram, 32 GB 3200mhz is that two sticks of 16GB or four of 8GB?
The cooler, i thought of the Corsair H150i 360mm aio but i didn't think i could fit it into my Corsair 750D so i ordered a H115i 280 mm instead which turned up today, still unopened and easily returned if needed, since then i've realised the 750D can take the H150i seen here https://i.imgur.com/9z4cQns.jpg but it will take up the top bay which is no problem as i only need one bay for my Blu Ray drive. What do you think?
While i remember the important bit here, what temps are you getting with the i9 and the H150i idle and at load?
Asus Maximus xi Code, a friend said he was going to get the Code but changed his mind, i can't remember why but that makes two people now that's mentioned the Code and if i went water cooled i would be paranoid that i would spring a leak, besides i don't actually like the look of water coolers anyway, i think they look too Frankenstein or Victorian medical like.
I currently have an Asus P8Z68-V PRO (LGA1155) modo with an i7 2600k with two 980's and i use the Asus ez utility thingy, i can't remember its name exactly to do the overclocking so i'm just saying i also like the Asus software we get, i think you mentioned that somewhere or it may have been the bios, i can't remember now.
Anyway please don't look at me as a copy cat but as a thicko that cherishes the knowledge from someone like yourself and is willing to spend my money on the trusted info you've given me.
I'm sure i remember you from the old steam forums, there were some obviously impatient but very talented people over there and if you could tempt just one of them to give you some help it was the best feeling in the world, i seem to remember Bad Motha or One of Ten or whatever his name was, there were some strange usernames but awesome talent.
EDIT: Actually thinking about it i had allready decided on the i9 9900k and i pre ordered a MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11GB GAMING X TRIO Turing Graphics Card last night so it's only the mobo that i was struggling with so i'm not totally copying you, just with the mobo, hey i'm not so think after all lol.
I would rather avoid monoblock, used it on my C6H and it had realy bad temps.
Normal waterblock will get you better temps.
its because of the infinity fabric bus that AMD use. Unlike AMD is Intel not depending on RAM.
AT 3200MHz to 4400MHz you will nto see more then a 1--2 fps improvement max. No game requires closely enoguh RAM usage (not capacity).
Its like said to avoid race cars for racing because they consume more fuel then normal cars...
A MonoBlock unlicke a normal waterblock not only cooling the CPU but also the VRM which is helpfull and important if you want to overclock real high.
And in the end I'm an Enthusiast, don't search for my reason in PC spending. I just buy something if it performs outstanding and looks great.
