How hot is too hot for a EVGA 1070Ti
Mine stays around 82-75C under load but I keep getting system warnings that this could be harmful. Is this too hot or completely normal? and what temperature should I start to become concerned?

It'll throttle heavily at 84c, but, which model card is it, as that's definitely on the warm side.
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GAMING, 08G-P4-5670-KR, 8GB GDDR5

Ah, a blower cooler. It's normal for them to be at 80C. The cooler is just that bad.

Above 90C is when it starts getting dangerous
Nothing is too hot for them, they will throttle the speed down at 82-83C. So it will never exceed that.

But if it's constantly at 82-83C, it means you are losing performance due to the card not being able to boost up as high as it should.

What is giving you warnings? You might want to uninstall all the bloatware.

80c is deffinitly hot for Pascal but nothing to worry about.

- Clean dust out of the PC with compressed air.
- Make sure nothing is obstructing airflow.
- Make sure the case has properly configured airflow (1 or 2 fans in the front and 1 in the back)

Windows and Cam send me warnings
Then change the warning; its not even hot below 85*C

Is it worth investing in a water cooler? and if so which would you recommend? my case is an NZXT H500i
Only one even worth considering on a non top end card is the ek fluid kits as they are a fairly reasonable price and can replace your cpu cooler also.

Beyond that, you have bolt on aio styles that have questionable cooling for vrm and memory or there is one aftermarket air cooler, though I cannot remember the name of it or a custom loop, but, that's a daft very expensive option for a mid tier card.

Not really. How new is your gpu? If you bought it only just awhile ago (less than 14 days, for most countries) you could still return it (if you bought it from shop) and change to a proper cooler version.

Take it apart then, reaply thermal paste and make sure it's properly put back together again.
