Yes.
Theres a ram that is Dual Rank everything the same but its cheaper than the single rank. Can I still put it in or I have to get both the same ranks?
Also speed difference between dual or single rank is a myth. They are limited by the bandwidth which is the same for both.
Might get this https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Single-PC4-19200-SODIMM-260-Pin/dp/B019FREJOQ?th=1
so I can get a ram that is dual rank and single rank right?
Buy more RAM that matches the current RAM.
Or remove the old RAM and install all new matching RAM.
But in laptops such as this, if you can't OC in the BIOS, then RAM above 2400Mhz is meaningless and more costly for zero benefits in such systems.
Yeah, it COULD work, but it also couldn't work, and you would've spent that money for nothing.
Plus you'll have 2 mismatching RAM sticks, and that will just look ugly.
Because there is no risk... Despite you have a 14 day return.
That's Bzw what JEDEC is for, standardizing RAM so that they are all compatible with to each other. I have done many RAM test, mixing RAM in all categories without facing a single issue.
You don't see the RAM in your laptop...
