i'm a lil biased as i LOVE EVGA GPUs
The EVGA has great cooling and OC's decently well
EVGA tends to be king when it comes to Warranty though, so if you get the EVGA be sure to sign up and register it on the EVGA site before you install it
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500429
I thibnk they had that Evga SC you were looking at too.
with that said, on other higher end models, the armour cooler is strapped onto their top of the line gaming X custom pcb, not the reference pcb.
to double check this I found a post I made back in December when this came up https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/11/1500126447404283498/
Year ago me and others agreed, the armor is in fact a gaming X/z/titanium custom pcb, which, is considerably better than the reference pcb you are looking at on the evga card, so... The armor Should overclock better, but, the cooler will likely hold it back a bit as, its not really that good.
So, yeah, coolers, are similar, evga may edge it out a bit, but the armor Is the better card.
So, yeah, you'd have the same card as escirve but at a lower price, fit an aftermarket cooler and you'll have a faster card at probably the same price.
evga 1070 ti ftw ... both have dual bios and if you register any new card within 14 days
from purchase evga extends the warranty to 3 years ..........
I bought the 1070 ti ftw from amazon a few weeks ago for $399 ....... and
think its a very good cool/silent running card .........
good luck
