GPT vs MBR
When I try to set it up as a new partition in disk management, it asks the type I want it to be: GPT (GUID Partition Table) or MBR (Master Boot Record) so which one should I choose? and why?

GPT for UEFI compatibility.
MBR for legacy installations.

There is no much difference unless your storage device is bigger than 2 TB or your OS asks for specific partition table.

There are quite a few advantages of GPT over MBR. File- and partitionsizes are only two of them.
and MBR takes much longer to load ajnd holds a NVMe drive back massivly. My 7700K PC takes 19sec to boot in MBR and 3.2 sec in GPT. Also in MBR I barely reach 1GB/s read while in MBR I constantly stay at 2 GB/s.

There should not be any difference at all. Especially in I/O speed.
Is there a way to tell within windows 10 how your hard drives are set up, GPT or MBR?

disk managment

by default GPT will be installed if you have your BIOS set to UEFI and MBR if it is set to legacy.

Otherwise you can change it through the cmd lines with MBR2GPT command

The problem is NVMe + MBR - apperently I'm not the only one that had this issue:

never tried it on SATA, but with NVMe it was a huge mess.
