It was so terrible I haven't tried using the front audio plugs since. I didn't even plug in the audio cable to the motherboard on my current build.
they are not grouned to chassis, and the cable to the mobo header are often ribbon with no shielding (analog audio is easy to pick up interference, esp when the jack has no dedicated ground)
Now vinyl and cd audio quality is a different story for another time lol.
Then your not as good as you think and your hardware kind of sucks, given that you said you plugged in the USB for Logitech headphones, that's pretty clear.
Beyond that, your post sounds like it would go great on /r iamverysmart
The best sounding gaming headphones sound about equal to very basic budget audiophile pair.
