Anyone have experience removing anti-glare coating from a monitor?
I want a glossy gaming monitor, but I can't find one for sale. Has anyone here successfully removed the anti-glare coating?

I would first direct you to a post I found here: https://www.tspinc.com/anti-glare-vs-anti-reflective/ about the difference. Most other references I found list several extremely involved and drastics methods you can take to remove different materials from modern monitors which obviously void the warranty of the product and possibly damage it beyond repair or warrantied replacement.

Rather might I suggest the alternative of lowering the ambient light sources in whatever room the monitor is being used in as an immediate solution. Since that is what the coating is meant to assist with in the first place before you go and make alterations you may regret at some point in the future.

yeah i'm very concerned i will break it. trying to get as much advice as possible before attempting it.

i very much prefer glossy screens, but i haven't seen any 144 hz monitors that have that.
