No it did not. All the RTX will ship with a DisplayPort to DVI-D adapter cable for those who still need DVI. They have USB Type-C on them, but that is for a different purpose.

^ DP to DVI-D adapter included.

It has a single USB Type-C port, three DisplayPort 1.4 connections, and an HDMI 2.0b port. The USB Type-C port supports VirtualLink, a connection standard meant for use in future VR headsets; more than a few big players in that space have professed support for it.

Well yes because for one, it's 2018, get with it.
And it allows for a much more clutter-free bracket area overall.

yeah i think its kind of interesting how theres a port on a gpu that doesnt have to due with display
pretty much adding another use to something

or maybe its gonna be used for a cool feature?

Read my Post#1 edit please.
It is there for various future needs.

Plus perhaps it would allow to connect to a Laptop that supports ThunderBolt3 on its USB3.1-Type-C to allow for easier use of such external GPU needs.

im not saying DVI is dead, im saying its an unexpected addition

Why? It's the way GPUs should have been basically since DP was introduced.
Gamers should be using DP all along since it came around.
HDMI is just basic needs; like single TV or Monitor for those who still need that, as that is a common standard, especially as a secondary accessory display, or for VR headset.

I was not surprised, since this is how TitanV and Quadro have been for a while now.
AMD did it with many of their GPUs already, like many of the 580 and VEGA variants.

Well it's called thinking ahead. If they already have insider info that many newer-gen VR headsets are looking to support USB 3.0/3.1 Type-C then it makes sense. And like I said, we also do not know the other uses just yet. As it could very well allow connecting to a Laptop with ease for those who need a beefier GPU for their Laptop. Yes we could use GPUs externally before on Laptops that supported it properly through USB Type-C; but through an adapter type of situation.
