Need a capture card.

I need a good capture card that can record both HDMI and RCA cables for older consoles and older video cameras. I don't know much about capture cards, my budget is around 150$

Actually you're wrong. This is a -DIGITAL ONLY- device that only captures digital video signals. RCA cables is Analog video from older devices. This device listed here will not capture anything over RCA cables without some sort of additional converter box to upscale the older analog signal to some sort of hdmi-output as a digital signal.

Actually you're wrong. This is a -DIGITAL ONLY- device that only captures digital video signals. RCA cables is Analog video from older devices. This device listed here will not capture anything over RCA cables without some sort of additional converter box to upscale the older analog signal to some sort of hdmi-output as a digital signal.

This is quite literally the only capture card that I've found that will actually let you capture old analog inputs directly without using a seperate adapter. This includes VGA, Composite video (rca plugs), and component video (red-green-blue rca plugs).

This is literally where I found it from, and the reason I can also confirm that the Elgato HD 60 will -NOT RECORD ANALOG VIDEO FROM OLD CONSOLES-...

the reviews don't seem to be too stellar...TBH if i was in that boat i would go for a rca/hdmi converter with an upscaler (usually found at about $20) and hook an elgato to it...

I made a mistake, someone mentioned the HD60 earlier in this article and I thought that's what we were talking about. I didn't realize you linked something else. But apparently the "Elgato Game Capture HD" is a different device that does do analog capture. Physically it looks almost exactly the same as the HD60, so I just sort of clicked and it looked similar and I didn't read the name of it.
The HD60 doesn't though.. looks like this other one does. I would suggest someone find video evidence of it working with older consoles before buying though.
