Intel i7 8700K (6 core, 12 thread) overclocked at 5.0GHz @ 1.300V

Score: 1595

(I would get higher if my CPU cooler's rad wasn't only 120mm, although I did do a push/pull config, plus more two 120mm fans on top of case and two 140mm on front of case.)

I got the same issue. I can't push past 4.6 GHz because I have a 120 rad. I got up to 4.9 GHz but in Cinebench it thermal throttled because I was above 100 C.

Above 100ºC? I start sweating nervously if I go above 85ºC, oh well, around 4.7GHz is more than enough for normal use in this day and age.

Yeah but then again I had to push the voltages to 1.4 volts to even get it somewhat stable. Once I get the NZXT Kraken X62 240MM I should be just fine with temps and maybe I'll try booting at 5GHz, only for benchmark purposes not for my everyday to day use for my PC.

Some may argue it isn't worth the slight improvment but if you have room in your case you should consider doing a push/pull config with the 240mm (4 fans). Just make sure the fan is the same model on both sides of the rad or the stronger fan could spin the weaker fan faster than its meant to. Also try to make sure the same amount of air is flowing out as it is in. JayzTwoCents on Youtube does a good job explaining this better, you just need to factor in that rads add resistance to the amount of air entering/exiting.

Push pull on aio's thin radrealky won't make much of an impact at all, you would be better off spending g the extra cash on a 360 instead of a 240 and 2 extra fans.

As for cinebench score I think it's between 2500 and 3000 depending on clocks, not ran it at 5GHz recently.

My desktop only supports a 280MM. So a 360 would be impossible. I don't have a full tower I have a mid tower ATX.

Yeah cinebench is mostly just a core count race, I think the new tr2 chip comes in around 6-7k doesn't it?

223 single core 1117 multi could probably do better if i squeezed my ram and closed temp monitoring stuff

1479 with i7-7700K @5.4 GHz
2304 with i7-8720X @5.1 GHz

but also only after clean boot. Both with 4x16GB DDR4-3200 CL14 RAM in Dual or Quad Channel on Top End Motherboards.
